Eight horses are declared for the first FTQ over two miles, the category in which Andrew Balding’s Mymatechris was successful on All-Weather Finals Day.
Those looking to invest their 32Red free bet in tomorrow evening’s 32Red Stakes at Wolverhampton (8.45) will do well to look at Ralph Beckett’s filly Moonrise Landing.
Unbeaten in two starts on the All-Weather, she captured a 10-furlong maiden on her career debut at Lingfield Park in March, 2014, and last time out relished the step up to two miles when taking a Kempton Park handicap by four and a half lengths on November 18, both on Polytrack.
The four-year-old, who is owned by Peter Savill, ran seven times on turf this year, with her sole victory coming in a 12-furlong handicap at Newmarket on October 30.
Ralph Beckett said earlier this week “I have been very happy with Moonrise Landing since her win last time and hopefully she will be able to book her place for the Easter meeting.
“She has a bit to find on ratings with a couple of them, but she appreciated the step up in trip at Kempton and deserves to take her chance.”
Godolphin took the spoils last year with Hidden Gold and could be represented by Famous Kid (Saeed bin Suroor) and Anglophile (Charlie Appleby). The pair were separated by six lengths when first and second respectively in a 14-furlong handicap on Polytrack at Chelmsford City on November 6.
The Twisler (Jane Chapple-Hyam) brings smart turf form to the table, having been a surprise winner of the Listed March Stakes at Goodwood in August. Another eye-catching entry includes course and distance victor Entihaa (Alan Swinbank).
