The Categories

The All-Weather Championships is designed to test every horse, jockey and trainer. Follow the journey of the All Stars competing in one of 6 categories for a share of £1million in prize money on Championships Finals Day.

The Championships aim to keep horses in training over the winter and increase the field sizes which in turn increases competition, excitement and betting turnover.

The 32Red.com 3 Year Old Championships

The 3 year old category aims to find the very best 3 year old All-Weather Colts, Fillies & Geldings with a Championship Final over 6 furlongs (1,200m).

The All-Weather Colts, Fillies & Geldings Championship comprises every 2 year old race the year before Finals Day and 3 year old races on the All-Weather tracks over the qualifying period.

To qualify for the Championship race, a horse has to have run a minimum of three times on the All-Weather in the qualifying period and be rated high enough, or win 1 of the 4 Fast-Track Qualifiers that will be scheduled.

With prize money of £150,000, it is the UK’s richest 3 year old All-Weather race.

The Betway Sprint Championships

The Sprint category aims to find the best 4 year old+ All-Weather sprinters with a Championship race over 6 furlongs, 1 yard (1,208 metres).

To qualify for the Championship race, a horse has to have run a minimum of three times on the All-Weather in the qualifying period and be rated high enough, or win 1 of the 4 Fast-Track Qualifiers that will be scheduled.

With prize money of £150,000, it is the UK’s richest All-Weather Sprint race for horses 4 years old or over.

The Sunbets Mile Championships

The Mile category aims to find the best All-Weather Milers with a Championship Final over 8 furlongs (1,600m).

To qualify for the Championship race, a horse has to have run a minimum of three times on the All-Weather in the qualifying period and be rated high enough, or win 1 of the 4 Fast-Track Qualifiers that will be scheduled.

With prize money of £150,000, it is the UK’s richest All-Weather Mile race.

The Betway Marathon Championships

The Marathon category aims to find the best All-Weather ‘Stayer’ with a Championship race on All-Weather Championships Finals Day over 15 furlongs, 169 yards (3,172 metres).

Qualifying races range in distance from 13 furlongs (2,600 metres) to 15 furlongs, 169 yards (2 miles or 3,172 metres). To qualify for the Championship race, a horse has to have run a minimum of three times on the All-Weather in the qualifying period and be rated high enough, or win 1 of the 5 Fast-Track Qualifiers that will be scheduled.

Additional FTQ to be staged at Lingfield Park on Saturday 25th March.

With prize money of £150,000, it is the UK’s richest All-Weather Stayers race for horses 4 years old or over.

The Fillies & Mares category comprises every race on the All-Weather tracks over the season open to all Fillies & Mares, with a 4 year old+ Championship race on the All-Weather Championships Finals Day, over 7 furlongs, 1 yard (1,409 metres).

To qualify for the Championship race, a horse has to have run a minimum of three times on the All-Weather in the qualifying period and be rated high enough, or win 1 of the 4 Fast-Track Qualifiers that will be scheduled.

With prize money of £150,000, it is the UK’s richest All-Weather Fillies & Mares race.

The Betway Middle Distance Championships

With races ranging in distance from 10 furlongs (2,000 metres) to 12 furlongs (2,400 metres), the Middle Distance category comprises all Middle Distance races during the qualifying period, with a Championships Final on All-Weather Championships Finals Day over 10 furlongs (2,000 metres).

To qualify for the Championships Race, a horse has to have run on the All-Weather in 3 races during the qualifying period or win 1 of 4 Fast-Track Qualifiers that will be scheduled.

With prize money of £200,000, it is the UK’s richest All-Weather Race.
