Charlotte’s Web bids to give Simon & Ed Crisford a third straight victory in the BetMGM Winter Oaks Trial (1.20pm) at Lingfield Park on Wednesday, December 4.
The father-son partnership has captured the last two editions of the 10-furlong handicap with Al Agaila and Oh So Grand, with both fillies subsequently following up in the BetMGM Winter Oaks.
Charlotte’s Web brings in a progressive profile, having won both of her starts in handicap company.
The daughter of Night Of Thunder opened her account at Wolverhampton in September and followed up with another dominant display in a 10-furlong handicap at Newcastle.
Simon Crisford said: “We have been very happy with Charlotte’s Web since her win at Newcastle.
“This will be another step up the ladder for her, but we are very hopeful that she will be able to give a good account.”
Miss Dolly Rocker makes her second appearance at Lingfield Park, having been narrowly beaten at the track on her final juvenile outing in 2022.
The four-year-old has been in consistent form, winning a Bath handicap in September and last time out finishing sixth in the London Series Middle Distance Final at Kempton Park.
Trainer Roger Teal said: “Miss Dolly Rocker is dropping back a furlong but that should not be a problem as she is comfortable between 10 furlongs and a mile and a half.
“She has been running well in decent races, not always with the best of luck. On her penultimate start, she got a long way back at the start before making up a lot of ground, and it was a decent run in the final last time out.
“We know she handles Lingfield as she was just beaten there as a two-year-old. I think we are entitled to be hopeful of a good run.”
Timeless Charm, an impressive debut winner at Kempton Park for George Boughey, and Conrad Allen’s Newcastle scorer Countess Candy are the least exposed runners in the lineup after four career starts.
The Ian Williams-trained Typical Woman bids to go one place better after finishing second to Power Of Destiny at Kempton Park.
Nicky Henderson saddles a rare Flat runner in Therapist, who was third at Goodwood on her latest Flat appearance, while James Fanshawe’s Elladonna filled the same position on her most recent start at Lingfield Park.
Waldgeist filly Lokana, representing David O’Meara, tackles middle distances for the first time after taking a mile handicap at Chelmsford.
Kempton Park winner Kingmont (Harry Eustace), dual all-weather scorer Kinetic (James Owen) and Adelabella (Michael Wigham) complete the field.
Elsewhere, G3 winner Holloway Boy (Karl Burke) heads nine runners in the Listed Unibet Hyde Stakes (7.10pm) at Kempton Park on Wednesday evening.
Whitcombe Rockstar (Keiran Burke) is chasing a fifth straight win in the mile contest, while the unexposed Roi De France (John & Thady Gosden) looks to follow up a recent course and distance success.
G2 scorers Poker Face (Simon & Ed Crisford) and Flight Plan (Karl Burke) also feature among a quality lineup alongside all-weather specialist Dear My Friend (Charlie Johnston).
Earlier in the day, there is British interest in Deauville’s Listed Prix Luthier (5.55pm), with James Tate-trained Mount Athos bidding to follow up his win in the Prix Irish River at the track last month.
The opposition in the extended seven-furlong contest includes 2023 Prix Luthier victor Siam Paragon (Georges Doleuze) and G3 winner Fast Raaj (Yann Barberot), who was a closing second in the Prix Irish River.
